Kingfish Lemon Pepper Fried

Fresh King Fish slices marinated in lemon and pepper and shallow fried.

Serves: A Family of Four

Prep. Time: 10 Mins. + 30 Mins. (marination)

Cooking Time: 20 Mins.


  • King Fish Slices [Surmai]– 4 medium
  • Limes – 2 medium
  • Black Pepper Powder – 3 tsp.
  • Oil – 2 tbsp.
  • Salt – 1 tsp. or to taste


Step 1:     Squeeze the limes on a flat plat. Add the salt and pepper and mix well. Marinate the fish in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.


Step 2:     Heat a tbsp. of oil in a non-stick pan and fry the fish on low heat, two slices at a time, for 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
