The Strawberry Bourbon Smash is fruity, heady cocktail. It is best made with fresh strawberries, but you can make do with frozen ones when not in season.
Serves: 4 to 6 Persons
Prep. Time: 5 Mins.
Mixing Time: 3 Mins.
[ Standard Measure : 1 cup = 250 ml ]
- Bourbon / Whisky – 250 ml
- Sparkling Water [Soda] – 500 ml
- Simple Syrup – 60 ml
- Lime Juice – 60 ml
- Strawberries – 1 cup
- Mint Leaves – 3 to 4 + a sprig
- Ice – Lots of it
Step 1: Take the strawberries, syrup, lemon juice and mint leaves in a jar or pitcher and muddle the mint and strawberries. Don’t mash the strawberries completely.
Step 2: Then add the bourbon and club soda and top up with lots of ice.
Step 3: Use a punch ladle to stir and pour into individual glasses or put in a couple of straws and make it a couple drink.
- To make simple syrup take ½ cup each of sugar and water in a pan and place on medium heat. Cook till the sugar melts. Switch off the heat. Cool and use in your cocktails and mocktails or transfer to a clear jar and refrigerate for upto 15 days.
